 As a part of their mission to be a bridge between the public and law enforcement, the Las Vegas Metro Police Foundation had the famous Las Vegas Strip light up in blue lights last week to say thank you to law enforcement in honor of Law Enforcement Appreciation Month. Part of their “Go True Blue” Campaign, this effort was all about sharing pride and encouraging community support for the police department, who work hard to keep Vegas safe. The entire effort was a feat in developing public/private partnerships with the businesses, hotels and casinos on The Strip, carried about by Foundation Executive Director Tom Kovach. This is a great example of what a police foundation can do beyond just fundraising and issuing grants to the department.
